LMU-DCOM offers a three-week intensive anatomy course to incoming osteopathic medical students. The course is designed for incoming first-year osteopathic medical students who wish to start learning Gross Anatomy prior to the start of school. Regardless of the approach, surface anatomy is a subdivision of gross anatomy that deals with identifying structures on the surface of the body (i.e. under the skin).
